Toward the end of the book of Psalms, you’ll encounter a group of 15 songs, most no longer than 4 or 5 verses. These are the Songs of Ascent, sung by pilgrims as they traveled together up to Jerusalem for worship. Their words recount the defeat and victory, lament and praise, brokenness and restoration experienced by God’s people throughout their history.
These songs and their themes are core to our mission at Ascent and inspire our continued work: moving together toward the renewal of all things.
