Mission in Transition: Proclaiming the Gospel in an Age of Decline and Rebirth

For centuries, Western Christianity shaped the church’s theology, mission, and influence across the world. Today, the local church’s influence is waning in the U.S. and Canada even as vibrant Christian movements surge across Africa, Asia, and Latin America, with their influence extending to impact North America.  This session will explore key principles for extending the witness of the gospel in our current context which is marked by two significant, yet overlapping trends - bearing witness to a western society rooted in skepticism and receiving the global witness of the church into that western society.
