What if the future of the church isn’t about bringing more people to Sunday services, but about bringing the mission of the church into the spaces where people already are, especially families with young children?

Weekday preschools and Child Development Centers (CDCs) are mission-critical tools for evangelism and discipleship that are within the reach (or are already present) for most congregations. There are few other ministries that give instant, trusted access to families who may not attend church on Sundays, but will walk through church doors for the sake of their children. When done well, it’s possible that preschools and CDC’s are a tremendous onramp into the life of your church. 

The Vital Preschool Initiative is a growing ministry of the Ascent Movement connecting pastors, executive pastors, preschool directors, children’s ministers, and other church staff around a vision of impactful mission through starting and sustaining preschools and CDC’s for kingdom expansion. 

This Pre-Conference will provide a foundation for transformational preschool ministry along with strategies to help churches create the optimum experience for children and their families to enter the life of the gospel. The Vital Preschools Pre-Conference is open to churches who already have weekday preschools or are interested in starting one. Through peer connections, consultant support, and resource sharing, this event and the ongoing network will help your church imagine and implement spiritually formative preschool ministries.
