Ascent is a movement of like-hearted partners committed to re-engaging and re-evangelizing North America with the Gospel and carrying the Gospel around the world. At the 199th annual meeting in November 2022 BGAV did a soft launch of Ascent—inviting churches and individuals to become part of this movement.
Right now, the most important way you can join the Ascent movement is through prayer. Prayer undergirds every part of Ascent, so we are asking first and foremost for prayer. Seeking God’s guidance and direction through prayer led the Steering Council to develop its current priorities, and prayer will always be the cord that binds our partners together as we pursue a unified mission.
Ascent is a movement--not a denominational structure. As the movement develops, it is coalescing around five starting initiatives, and it will continue to grow as we learn, discover, and discern more specifics through our prayer initiative. Through prayer, we invite you to collaborate with us in order to more fully understand the needs of the world and the work of God.

Reaching Rural Churches
Pray that Ascent can reach, strengthen, and equip the many rural churches across the continent.
