Webinar- Raising People Up: Leadership Development for Small and Rural Churches
What if leadership wasn’t just about keeping things going?
What if leadership in the church wasn’t just about keeping things going, but about intentionally investing in people?
When nearly half of pastors are facing burnout, it is easy to feel stuck managing what is instead of developing what could be. And yet, the mission we’ve been given was never just to maintain what is, but to raise up and empower others to step into it with us.
This webinar grew out of conversations we had at the Ascent Gathering in March—especially during the workshop on rural churches and the breakout focused on small church ministry. Again and again, we heard a shared desire: to move beyond simply sustaining ministry and toward developing people.
The Mustard Seed Initiative is excited to host a webinar with David Blackwell and Kris Beckert on Leadership Development. Our hope is that this conversation will help your church build simple, realistic pathways for people to grow into the leadership God is calling them toward.
In this 75-minute webinar, David and Kris will each share insights from their own churches and ministries, with a focus on what leadership development can look like in small and rural contexts. There will also be time for interaction and questions, so we can engage the real challenges and opportunities you’re facing.
If you’ve been sensing the need to invest more intentionally in others, this is a great place to start. Join us next month as we explore how leadership development can become a natural part of your church’s life and mission.
